Publication Impact Dashboard (PID)¶
Overview¶
The Publication Impact Dashboard (PID) is a comprehensive solution for analysis of your publication performance and impact, enabling you to understand how your publications compare to similarly classified publications. By contextualizing data based on specific research or therapeutic areas, the dashboard allows users to evaluate the performance of an individual paper, or select up to three specific publications for direct comparison, against diverse benchmarks such as journal, broad research categories, or narrow, client-defined therapeutic areas.
This contextual analysis provides "Expected Values" for metrics like citations and Altmetric scores, enabling you to accurately measure whether your research is performing accordingly relative to its field, its journal, or other specific papers of interest.
Digital Science will configure a PID dashboard for your use, based on Altmetric and Dimensions data, to provide rapid insights and analytics on scientific literature related to a set of therapeutic areas and drug assets of interest to you.
Scope of the Basic Configuration Service¶
The basic configuration service covers the following activities:
Search strategy configuration¶
Configuration supports up to 50 search strategies, using a flexible combination of focus areas (e.g. therapeutic areas) and research areas (e.g. drug names), structured as either:
- Up to 10 report focus areas (e.g. therapeutic areas of interest), each with up to 5 research areas (e.g. drug names)
OR
- Up to 5 report focus areas (e.g. therapeutic areas of interest), each with up to 10 research areas (e.g. drug names)
Customer inputs required¶
For each report focus area and research area listed above, you must provide a detailed description and, optionally, literature search terms and synonyms to be included in the search.
The configuration includes up to 1 iteration per search strategy, based on your feedback.
Timeline¶
Configuration will be completed within 60 calendar days of you providing the required data above.
Project Management During Configuration¶
While configuration is ongoing, project management support may include:
- A kick-off meeting within two weeks of signing
